Van dessel Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

I debated a little bit whether this belongs in the gravel bike thread or here, decided it's more appropriate to post it on this thread because it's really the steel construction that gives it the unique look and personality and ride qualities.

It's a departure from the high $$ 16-18 pounds carbon monster gravel bikes we are used to seeing. At its current configuration, it weighs a whooping 28 pounds. Heavy! But boy, once you get it going, it carries so much momentum with it that it just boars down the road like a hemi truck, especially in the rougher sections of the gravel ride, it maintains stability and rolls over them like nobody's business, no fear!

Another thing that was interesting about it is, even though it weighs that much, it wasn't really a problem during climbing. Sure, it won't win during an uphill sprint but for gravel riding, it's more about maintaining consistent power output and keeping a steady tempo, if I just keep feeding it with a little pedal thrust every now and then, it will just keep going and going and going...

Got off after 75 miles of gravel riding feeling fresh and good. Steel man...it's quite something, believe the hype.

Color: deep greyish blue mating carbon on the campagnolo parts is both discreet and sexy. New bikes are always loud and it gets tiring after some time.
It is unpretentious, classic, disciplined and hardcore.

My new, to me, Cielo Road Racer. Finished the build last night and got out on a nice 4 hour ride today - I love it!

I've got some work to do before I do a build thread. So far so good though.
