yep....the chance that it's the headset or wheels is very, very low. It can't hurt to make a safety check of course but the real safety will come from knowing what to do should your bike set up a wobble.
I think someone quoted me earlier when I said every bike made can be made to wobble given the proper provocation so knowing how to counter it is the ticket. dave |

That happened to me a few years ago on a new bike. I wasn't used to it and was going down hills at 40 in windy weather and wet roads. I was freaking out and holding on tight (maybe too tight), and watched the top tube wobble. It has not happened since and have not ridden in those conditions since.
I think the wobble was due to me freaking out and not because of the bike. |
