BB386 EVO Botton Bracket for Shimano 24mm Crank

Hey there... I'm getting ready to build up an Open U.P. with Dura Ace. I have always just defaulted to Shimano bottom brackets, or the odd Chris King when I was feeling splurgy. BB386 EVO is a bit foreign to me, and I don't think there is a Shimano or CK option.

While some say it's fine, I don't love the whole adapter approach of stepping down 30mm to 24mm spindles. I've found these two options:

Rotor PF4624
http://rotorbike.com/catalog/default...4-bbright.html

Kogel 386EVO-24
https://www.kogel.cc/collections/386...shimano-cranks

The latter being about 3 times the price due to ceramic bearings.

Does anyone out there have any guidance for me on choosing a BB for a 24mm crank on BB386 EVO?

I'm also aware of the Wheels Manufacturing option, but have heard negative experiences from a couple of buddies on them.

No experience with Rotor, but I can tell you that Kogel bottom brackets are worth the money. I have tens of thousands of kms in all conditions on one and it's perfect. I do not baby my bikes. Buy it and be happy with your decision.

I have been using the cheap FSA adapters (think I paid about$20) for about a year with absolutely no issues, but just picked up the Kogel yesterday on eBay, for $75. Couldn't pass it up.

I've been using the adapter inserts/shims without any problems.

I'm using the wheels manufacturing bb without any problems, it's pretty simple ...what issues does your buddies have with it?

It was a lightly used BB that I made an offer on. Wasn't even expecting it to be accepted to be honest. But I imagine there's not a ton of demand for that sort of thing.

Appreciated the eBay thought... I found a new one for $89, which was quite the savings over the $199 MSRP.
