My short list of brands/builders to check out:
Moots, Seven, Mosaic, Bingham Built, Firefly, No22, 44 Bikes. I'd also consider Alliance, DeSalvo, and 333Fab.

I went with Mosaic for various reasons and couldn't be happier.

I’m in the same boat. For most of my time riding, I’ve only done it on road, on steel or Ti road frames.

Knowing that I still have a road bike, helps me keep the goal of the gravel bike single focused; go with a 1x instead of 2x drive train, highly focus the geo around 650b (I ride a 50-52cm frameset).

I’m hoping as my shopping process gets more serious that the builder can help inform my initial decisions too.

Were you responding to me or to the OP?.

If me I am not that concerned with resale value as I bough my current road bike in 2012, so if I hold onto the next one for 8-9 years I dont think the resale value will be that great no matter the brand.

I’ll definitely add in a big shout out to Bingham Built. Brad does exceptional work and has flexibility with the design and options your looking for. Quality is superb.

"If you have to ask...." what's the price range of a Brad Bingham gravel frame? Straight gauge.

I do have to ask roughly the weight though ? say for a 52ish

straight gauge ought to be cheaper in theory.. double butting would be an extra step in the tubing process... unless the straight gauge raw material is more ? I have no idea.

He charges less than the butted titanium builders. I would say he is inline with other straight gauge titanium builders out there. I was skeptical of buying a straight gauge ti bike. How it was explained to me, since Brad took over Kent's business he had a lot of different titanium tubes to dial his frames to the customer's desire. If it is true or not after buying my Built MTB my butted Mosaic just didn't feel that great. That is why I am buying a second Built that will be an all road / gravel bike. He is easy to work with. Just let do his thing and you will be happy. His time lines are reasonable and at least the first one he delivered a before the committed delivery date.

FWIW, my ~50-52ish Mosaic made with straight gauge tubing and equipped with ENVE Gravel Fork, SRAM Force 1x11 mechanical, 650bx48 Gravelking SKs weighs 19lbs with pedals. Could probably get it less than that with lighter wheels and tires with more carbon thrown in.

Weight of Titanium Bikes

No titanium bike is going to approach the weight of a carbon bike- So if eeking out every gram on this bike is what you are after, you should look elsewhere.

Even a radically butted titanium frame is going to yield a bike that is 2 pounds heavier than a light carbon frame.
Frames are 400-600 grams more.
Press in headset and BB's add 200-300 grams over drop in bearings or bb's with plastic cups.

That said, you can make almost any frame into a lightweight bike if you throw enough money at it, and you are willing to sacrifice low gears, tire size, tire tread, durability, and functionality.

more interested in frame only weight.. if I could find one say 1400g-1600g that would be ok. My current carbon gravel bike is 1000g for the frame.

yes I am interested in straight gauge even if it weighs slightly more... Joostix needs to weight that baby for me and let me know. If I put all my weightweenie parts on my gravel bike it can be sub 16lbs, but it's far more fun to ride with a redshift shock stem, dropper post and big tires.
