Good Luck with your choice
Good luck with whatever you choose.
I think you have to consider your riding style too. Power through as fast as you can, Speed but not at the expense of the Scenery or I'll get there when I get there. I have cx bikes but no specific gravel bike. When I talked with Ti builders at a NAHBS a few years back I got a really good feeling with Steve Potts, Kish, De Salvo and Ericson. As all builders are talented and I feel ,right or wrong ,their preference for build types and their versatility comes with bikes they are know for. Their demeanor, passion confidence and knowledge, will come through in conversation. Go with your gut. If there is no need to rush don't. |

Factor / Charge
Thread drift here, but to the poster that Ti Charge for $700 wow!
Charge made some sweet bikes, but for some reason the brand never took off. I had a steel charge a few years ago and loved it, I ended up selling it because I wanted something lighter but man dollar for dollar it was the best riding bike. How do you like your factor? I am thinking of getting a aero race bike later and factor is on my short list, but I am not sure if I will be able to test ride one. |

It's technically a road bike and not an all-road bike, but this thing could go pretty much anywhere:
The 3D-printed yoke on the Firefly all-road mode sets them apart from the others imo, but the wait time is considerable. Of the other builders mentioned, my top choices would be No. 22, Moots, (Bingham) Built, Mosaic or Seven. Not sure if it's in the public domain yet, but if you want the bike for travel, No. 22 is (or will be) the way to go... Last edited by happycampyer; 04-10-2020 at 11:07 AM. |

Man oh man, I just went through this exact process a month ago. I wanted an all-road bike with two sets of wheels. One set with 28 or 30 tires and one set with 38 or 40 tires.
Lots of amazing options out there. 22Bikes is the most tempting but the unknown delivery date is a deal killer for me. I want my stuff now. Good luck with whatever you get! |

Titanium Gravel
A titanium bike will definitely stand up better to mud, grit and strapping a bunch of stuff to it.
Opens are cool- but kind of fragile (I have an UPPER). The Routt 45 has a lot of stack and a steeper seat angle- both would benefit you based on your pics. But it also appears that the Moots will have short front center judging by the head angle and toptube lengths. This is a bad thing for gravel. For the same money you could get a Bingham Built or a Seven Evergreen- both 100% custom. Seven is now doing internal routing- this is new for them. Not sure why you wouldn't choose one of those options- You have to wait for a stock Moots anyhow unless a dealer has your size on the floor. |

Sorry to be that guy, but 333 is neither divisible by 7 nor 11.

The 22Bikes sale now ends April 17.
I wonder what the delivery date will be now? |

A lot of my friends ride Factors. A few discovered they didn't do well on the re-sale market, if that matters to you and affects your planning.
