135 BCD Campy - how small can I go?
Running a Daytona standard 10 speed crank, 53/39. Is there an aftermarket manufacturer that makes a small inner ring? Pretty sure I have seen a 38...anything smaller? Thx!

Nope. No more real estate.

1) You can go down to 38 teeth on a 130mm BCD, but you can only go down to 39 teeth on 135mm. 2) You can go down to 24 teeth if you use a Tripleizer chainring to convert your cranks to a triple. You'll need a longer spindle for a triple crank, but since Daytona uses a square taper BB this is easy. T.A. Specialites Vento-K Campagno 135mm tripleizer: |

Curses! Guess I'll just have to file off a few teeth and hope for the best.

Now, a triple goes to 74 mm.

I think you'd get the same effect if you just filed all the teeth 1.5mm shorter?

Willow triplizer
Another option is to use the Willow triplizer for $35. If you have a Campy 135bcd crankset, you can get the 39t triplizer and then add a 74mm "granny" gear so you can go as low as 24t!
If you have a 130bcd crankset, you can get the 46t chainring and then a 74mm inner/granny gear that can go as low as 24t. I have the 46t chainring and was planning on using a 30t, but that project is on hold. The rings comes with all the hardware needed too!
