4-bolt stem ?
Is there a 4-bolt stem for conventional 1" threaded headset
I want to mount a carbon fiber handlebar Kestrel 42cm 26.0 on an older steel lugged bicycle if possible four bolts has carbon fiber bolts should be troughed to a certain value and prefer to have four bolts instead of just one holding bar in place |

....u dont need to run 4 bolts, 2 bolts is sufficient. There are plenty of 26.0 / 2 bolt stems out there u can run...either 1" or 1 1/8" with correct shim (most early 1 1/8 stems were packaged with a shim to mount on 1" steerer).

Yes, ITM made a few, actually the colnago stem came in 2 and 4 bolts version.
I had both, not a difference but just the looks. OPs my mistake... sorry, missed the part that says threaded... no never seen a quill with 4.. never seen even quill with 2, what ive seen is a 1 inch quill stem with a wedge...modolo made some of those if im not mistaken, 3t i believe aswell... always you can sue a quill adapter and get the colnago 1inch threadless stem, personally i do not like the looks of that but that is one option. 4-bolt 1" quill with removable faceplate = not possible, afaik. 2-bolt is completely fine w/that Kestrel c-f bar.
You should specify length + rise/angle you're looking for. Someone might have one they're not needing. Email sent regarding candidates: New: Nitto UI-2 1" quill, 26.0 VeloOrange 1" quill, 31.8 but comes w/26.0 shim Used or NOS, eBay: Deda Murex (nice stem, had one for years) 3T TTT Evol 3T TTT Motus 3T TTT Mutant Salsa (hen's teeth these days) Avoid those hideous-looking Profile H2O abominations. |

Origin8 makes one. I’ll be using it on a dirt drop setup.

I've seen too many handlebars separate from their stems due to a single bolt failure on 2 bolt stems to ever want to use a 2 bolt stem. I don't think it is a coincidence that 4 bolt stems are now the most common.

The mutant stems are so great to look at.
The profile stem you mention is the ugliest of all time! Quote:
