Ribble
I've never heard of Ribble but they keep coming up in my search for new bike parts.
The feedback here seems to be pretty good too. Any reason not to order from them? |

I've always had pretty good luck ordering from them. Use tracked delivery though.

Reliable delivery. If they have what you want, go for it. They've started to not ship many items to the US in order to help manufacturers set up artificially high prices though.

if you've never heard of ribble, you already missed the golden age of cheap campy parts. i've had great luck ordering from them in the past, but as mentioned, their inventory is pathetic these days, but if they have what you want - no worries ordering from them.

A few transactions and excellent results. As mentioned they are restricting certain items being shipped to the US.
Wiggle and Chain Reaction are 2 other sites that I have had good luck with when comparative shopping. |

Used to be my go-to spot for VeloFlex tires. Went through some type of rebranding/new ownership? They are still decent, but not the top of my list anymore. Shipping has always been good with them when I’ve purchased things.
Solid site. |

They now charge for shipping. End of story.

They use to be my go to site but I have had better luck lately with MerlinCycles.

I used to like Ribble, but my recent attempts to buy things for a winter build have had me going elsewhere, either due to lack of stock (Campy) or things that cannot now be shipped to the US. Lately they seem to be more interested in flogging their own brand of bikes; too bad as they usually had good prices and things I wanted.

I haven't ordered from them (or even visited the site) in ages but I never had any problems over dozens of transactions. But as others have said I think the golden age for buying mail order has passed. Luckily I stocked up on enough gear to last a lifetime a long time ago.

They still have some good prices and good service. Best price I've seen on these in a while, GP4000IIS for $27 US! I just ordered 4 of them.

Really cheap bike stuff via MO or interweb companies compared with bike shop pricing isn't some sort of conspiracy to screw the consumer. There ARE interweb based distributors in the US that 'own' retail places.. They sell to consumers AND to bike shops. They get the same margin regardless. I suspect Velomine and Planet Cyclery are 2 of them.

I placed an order last night for Ritchey Super Logic parts. No one in the states would match or come close.
Hopefully they get here in a few weeks. |

Ribble is also a real bike company so like any bike company they can get crazy low OEM prices for components. I think Campy was trying to keep them from selling for below American wholesale and probably succeed. They no longer have any campy wheels on their website?
