Chain Tensioner SSCX

I am looking to race SS this year and am wondering how effective a chain tensioner is on a bike with vertical drops. Does it keep the chain on? Or will I get a bunch of drops?

Thanks,

Kevin

I’ve used the Paul tensioner and raced for a season and a half on it with no drops. It’s never been and issue.

Have been racing with a Surly tensioner for many years. No issues ever. I set it in “push down” mode.

For a little extra protection a narrow wide ring is easy insurance too.
