HOLLAND Exogrid Discontinued

Just heard today that the Exogrid has been discontinued from Bill's lineup. Santana (the owner of Exogrid tech.) has upped the cost of the tubing so high as to make it now cost-prohibitive. Makes me glad I got mine a while back! The end of an era. Just an FYI.

How are you doing, by the way? Recovering well?

Just give it a few more years until the patent runs out...

Doing quite well. Thanks for asking. I'm 8 weeks post op and getting around pretty well using a 4 point walker. X-Rays today revealed that I'm healing well. It'll still be several weeks before I can throw a leg over a bicycle though but I'm confident I'll get there. It has been a long and excruciatingly painful journey though, I'll tell ya that.

I noticed a few weeks ago that Exogrid frames are no longer on Bill’s website....this explains why.

Sorry for thread drift...

I’ve thought about purchasing a rim brake ti road bike from Bill. Several of the bikes on his Instagram have Enve forks, although his website still shows pricing for Mike Lopez forks. Perhaps I should ask Bill directly, but does anyone know if he still offers ML forks and, if yes, what determines which brand of fork is used?

It looks like it was abandoned for failure to pay fees.

That's great to hear Jeff - the feeling better, not the long and excruciating part.. Hope you keep mending and can get back on the bike soon.

Definitely some cool tube technology. HOLLAND makes sweet bicycles.
Arizona-based TITUS built frames using similar technology back in the day.

That's determined by how much you wanna spend. ML forks (yes, they're available) are fabulous (the very best!) but pricey. I have an Enve 2.0 on my Exogrid, Holland Ti and HC with no regrets whatsoever (all custom painted by JB to match, of course). I find them to be plenty stiff and I'm a card-carryin' Clyde.

...not that there was really much chance of me ever getting one: My bike fantasy wish list is definitely not a short list, and a Holland Exogrid was closer to the bottom of that than most. But still, it saddens me to learn that the opportunity for a new one will never come my way. C'est la vie...

I mean, if you ever find yourself flush with cash, call up Holland and ask. Lack of supply today is not necessarily permanent.

Or call up Santana and see if they'll do a "single" bike for you. They used to.

Dean should have some tubing in stock as they’ve also built with Exogrid for years.
