If it's the same Greg/Tsunami, they're early 'cause he got told he couldn't use the name shortly after starting to build. I had a custom track bike he built. Thought it was too small so I got Russ Denny to build the next one a bit longer thru the TT I just had Frank the Welder build an AL 'winter bike.' Rode it fixed today for the 1st time. Rides nicely. Don't have a 'real ride' on it, just about 1:15 in the wind. ...and the pics not uploading. Grrr M |

Yep. I have 1 custom alu. that, with the right wheels, rides as nicely and in some cases better than any bike I have, save for my Ottrott. But the latter is not THAT much better than the former. Or at least that's what I justify to myself, since the Ottrott is of another world in terms of materials and craftsmanship...
But seriously, I can descend and corner faster on my cheap custom alu. vs. any bike in the stable. It's rock solid and ugly as heck. Bought originally for racing, since I would not be upset if it got banged up, the geo is nice and neutral. |
