Garmin Varia Disconnecting
Apologies if this has been covered before but I didn’t see any search results. About the last month or so I’ve had issues with my Garmin RTL510 disconnecting. It doesn’t happen on every ride but on some rides it happens repeatedly even after powering down/restarting my Garmin 520 head unit. Heavy traffic isn’t an issue and I’ve had both the radar and head unit for a while with no issues until recently. Garmin customer support is closed today so I was hoping someone here may have experienced this and have a solution.

Same thing here, makes a beep, get an alert that signal was lost, then reconnects right away. Happens on average once or twice a ride, but I've learned to ignore it when it happens. Maybe interference somewhere, or maybe because I stick the head unit in my jersey pocket.

I’ve had the brief interruptions happen where it reconnects w/in a second or two. I think the issue is interference from overhead wires etc.

I was about to post the same thing. Mine disconnects after a while and the Varia symbol is till on the upper right corner.
Disconnect/reconnect via the sensor menu doesn't help. I have to restart the head unit (520) for it to reconnect.

the only issue I ever have is when I dont turn it on soon after the head unit...sometimes it won't connect forcing me to reboot the head unit.
