I love Ibex (100% wool, soft, warm, durable) and wear them exclusively in the winter. But their design is really not up to Rapha (fit, color, style) atmo.

My wife bought me one of their $150+ LS jerseys, and I'm hopefully saying it for the last time: no matter what exotic place you get the wool, whatever fancy name you give it, and no matter how much you charge for it, WOOL IS ITCHY!

But that's just me. I have friends who wear wool jerseys with no trouble.

Ibex construction is equal to Rapha, for style, Woolistic aka Vintage Velos
takes the prize sheep.

VV does the color bands woven in, Ibex and Rapha have to sew them in.

The new ones look much fuzzier than the old ones.

I have one of Ibex's Ampara (sp?) long sleeve cycling jerseys (as well as a couple of their short sleeve base layers) and they so do not itch that I can't even fathom a comment such as yours!

On the other hand, I find merino wool almost too warm for its weight, so it winds up being harder for me to predict what to wear with it for any given temperature. I have much better luck guessing with synthetics.

And the jersey fit is kinda teh suk, plus I got the older model with only one rear pocket. So I don't wear it much. But when I do, it feels really soft & comfortable.
