Fuel the morning ride
1 hour 'no-time-for-a' ride: quick bowl of cereal w/ fruit, chug a short coffee, get back before anyone is the wiser.
2 hour ride: eggs with whatever's in the fridge, toast, coffee 3-4 hours: Bob's Red Mill Steelcut oats. I throw a big handful of frozen berries in before eating to bring down the temperature. Maybe some PB toast before I leave. Plenty o' java. I just can't fuel up for the full 4 or more hours, gotta throw some bars, maybe some Skratch chews or energy beans in the pockets. We need a good burrito window around here... |
