They really do need to synchronise their Pantones. Way too many shades of yellow there.

When was the last time Campagnolo 'won' the TdF? Nibali? That was also a lucky one.

Dunno, but France (after Spain) has the second highest infection rate in Europe at the moment. The race should never have taken place, but money talks. Seeing Macron in the race car was hilarious, wearing his mask and sanitising his hands for the cameras. How incredibly cynical.

Well, at least try.

What he said..Sturgis was 'done' too...and we see the result of that...

At the end too..bike race during a pandemic..
You posted the first image, photo or live coverage, I've seen where the majority of spectators were properly wearing their masks. Masks below nose, resting on the chin or no mask at all are the images I'll remember.

I agree, this year's race causes me to think of 1989 and Lemond's navigation of the high mountains with no team support. He was recovering from the turkey shoot, of course--the unknown quantity factor continues to cause stronger teams to deny what their own eyes are telling them, e.g., that "weaker" guy is right here with us every time we look.

V3, not C64. Any thoughts on why? I know it's lighter, but you'd think Ernesto would want to showcase the one made in Italy.

Profit margin?

Isn't Colnago now majority owned by a Chinese company?

At times in the past, UAE riders have been on the C64. I'd guess the riders have a choice, Pogacar had previously chosen the V3, and it would not be wise to put a rider on a totally different bike on the last day of the tour.

With only 3 out of 22 teams riding on Campy, I guess you could say it was "lucky." Then again, Pogacar was the strongest rider, especially on that TT where he was not to be denied! In contrast, Roglic rode a great tour, but had one bad day. You could see in his eyes he didn't have it!

Here's the list of bikes that started the Tour. 3 teams rode Campy, 2 were on Sram and the other 17 teams used Shimano! Interestingly, the top two winners were on rim brakes! LOL

Good Luck!

And clinchers. The WTO 60 is available only for clincher tires.

Offset by the tall socks, but that's more advertising space, I suppose, not to mention the latest fashion.

Now, where are all of those Dogmas which suddenly became yesterday's news, passe, outdated, OBE, boomer technology? Might be able to pick one up on the cheap.

What about his watch? Can't tell what it is, but clearly he's working another sponsor angle....There's not a watch sponsor listed on Team UAE's website.

Hot Take: Ineos lost despite their bikes, UAE won despite theirs.
