Magped pedals: any first hand experience?

Just saw these for the first time, kind of intrigued. In particular I'm curious what the 'unclipping' feel is like, setup video doesn't seem to include any ability to tune that. Also wondering about float …

I have a couple friends that use them for MTB and like that it is easier to engage than standard clipless. Also, the ability to "unclip" easier in technical terrain should something go wrong. They are also heavy but for that kind of riding, not really an issue.

Thanks; their specs on the road & gravel pedals say they weigh less than Ultegra SPD-SLs, but I don't know if that factors in the cleats.
