Need Coffee Ideas - Secret Santa gift
So this year I've drawn my niece, again. 33 years old, married, no children. She's a coffee snob and I love her dearly. When I drew her before I scored a 6-cup Chemex, and she loved it. Our stated "budget" is $35 (in quotes as we all stretch a bit) and I'm looking for something coffee oriented. They live in downtown LA and are big fans of local roasters, and as you might expect, push back on Starbuck's. This group has demonstrated a strong coffee orientation, so, any ideas?

find one of those paint your own pottery places and paint a coffee cup with her. This way you won't be purchasing a gift for a coffee 'pro' that they may/may not use and you'll get to spend some nice time and conversation.

I just read a tip the other day on buying gifts for people who have a passion or hobby -- don't buy something related to their hobby. They probably know more about it than you, know their likes/dislikes and have particular tastes and/or things they want/need.
That said, you can still try for something coffee related if that is what she loves. Just beware that you may strike out.

My sister-in-law gave us 100% Kona beans a few times now, which are hard to get off-island. Best beans in the world, by far.
A press foamer could be a good choice also. |

Cups!
My household is full of snobs, and while we love deviating from our coffee routine, trying new things is a hit or miss. Except cups. Coffee snobs love em. Not necessarily a giant mug, but on the smaller side (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc) |

I am a coffee snob as well, and love my Aeropress. I take it on trips all the time, because hotel coffee is terrible.
Check out reviews and information on Sweet Maria’s website (they have a handy tip sheet for brewing with it). It’s also around 30 bucks... https://aeropressinc.com/ |

Check out Cafe Campesino. A friend of ours started this in 1998. Cool story, and they support Bike Ride Across Georgia:

I’m gonna guess the “ When this is empty it’s time to poop” coffee cup is not an option

An Aeropress is a very good call! It makes a great cup of coffee and is especially nice when traveling.
I would also agree with coffee cups. Kinto (Japan) and Heath Ceramics (SF, CA) are two of my favorites. |

depends on your budget i guess? a few good options mentioned above. Aeropress would be one of mine
if they are a coffee snob, likely they have all the brew methods etc they want to begin with. why not sign them up for a subscription service of sorts. There are a few great ones out there that serve multiple roasters. Or find a few they like and get them a few bi monthly single bags.. so they have a new bag arriving each week. that would depend on how much they drink I drink ALOT of coffee. but rarely at home considering i work in the industry. good luck !
