Not Mine but I had two of these a 1976 and an 81 like this one. I had it dialed in with 1984 GTI running gear. I'd give anything to have it back!!!!

I miss my '86 911 Carrera. Purchased from original owner with 18K sold at 103k. Great car. Somewhat spartan and at the same time totally PIMP!!! Should have never sold it

Such great stuff. Just look at the number of Bavarians here! And the Porsches, and the ....just great stuff.

I expected to see more gti's and corollas, but I guess those aren't the ones you miss as much.

I have a buddy with an original and early us rs 911(is it '72?). So fun, so rare.

Astronomical pricing now.

And the muscle cars. If I had a time ship I'd go back and just cruise used car lots for old muscle cars. They were so easy to find and cheap. Buy a barn and stick me all in it.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't miss them; I iust wish we had them here in the states.
3 door hatchbacks!
Also:
Subaru's with a disesel engine and a high/low range tranny.
We did get the dual range trannies in the eighties...so I guess that's the car I miss the most.

My two faves were a 79 Honda and an 82 Subaru. Neither my pics obviously, but same colors and trims

The Honda had a cockpit like a racecar (even a manual choke pull on the dash) and equipped with Vredestein Snows I would routinely out climb Jeeps on snowy hills.

The Subaru was practically unstoppable unless the snow was wet and over the wheels or you high-centered on sand. 4WD low and a 50/50 power split when engaged. Could fit a Jetski in the back with the plaid seats down, and doubled as sleeping space when out on the beach. The center "third-eye" headlight was a source of constant amusement.

Now that I'm thinking about it, not so sure I miss the cars, but I do miss being 18!

Ugh, this exactly.

I had a 97 e36 M3 sedan in estoril, and sold it like a complete jackass after returning to NYC. I'm in a b7 s4 now (needed something appropriate for the frozen tundra that Ann Arbor can sometimes be), which I really like, but nothing I've driven since that M3 has been quite the same. Such a wonderful car.

My old M3/4/5.

Interestingly, I prefer the E30 chassis, even though the E36 M3 is superior on paper to an E30 325i.

1974 Alfa 2000 GTV

My 1974 Alfa 2000 GTV I purchased new in the fall of 1975. Moved to AZ in 1984 and had to sell it due to the lack of a/c and I needed my car for work.

This is not my car, but the same color and similar after market wheels. Drove the car hard and had tons of fun.

I look at the used market periodically.

Jeff

No Mustangs, yet?

My first car - a 66 Mustang convertible.
IMHO, one of the sharpest looking cars made

I grew up on a farm. My father bought weird cars as a result. They tended to be good at driving over things that were in their way.

It got me through college, with occaisional sleeping in the back, and hauled a whole lot of stuff. The gas mileage was horrible. But I installed a pretty good tape deck with speakers that could point out the back when the tail gate was open. And then my younger brother borrowed it and wrapped it around a tree doing doughnuts on the HS lawn... (Not mine but close, and the same special shade of green...)
