Illegal sale of EPO only a misdemeanor???

This surprises me greatly. There are real risks to EPO even when used and monitored correctly for approved medical conditions. Yet this guy is likely to get off with community service and a few thousand dollar fine?

well....

this was the kicker.

"In his plea agreement, Brandt-Sorenson admitted to selling a vial of erythropoietin, or EPO, to an athlete in Boulder, Colo., for $631."


a vial. that was the plea bargain.
