OT: Stroopwaflers - do you Stroop?

If you do, what brands do you dig? Make your own?

I'm still scarfing them occasionally with the morning espresso, post ride, heck, I think I'll live on them 24/7!!

Love'em pre-ride or during a ride. The GU brand waffles come individually packaged. That's great for riding but they are expensive. The ones at Costco are much cheaper and every bit as tasty.

As per the photo, putting them on top of the cup and letting the steam/heat soften up the carmel filling makes it melt in your mouth. Honestly I eat them sparingly but they are so good for that occasional treat.

These are great and love the fact they are pre- smushed/flattened (vs a PBJ in the back pocket) and already packaged to get out the door quickly. Best invention.

I discovered Costco sells the “original” in an industry quantities - minus the individual packaging- place those flat yummy sweet circles of goodness over a cup of hot tea and the day can start or end perfectly!!

Yes I stroop on a bike, at a desk, in the car and on a plane! And welcome all varieties.

Buying the wholesaler-sized ones from Costco (40 sandwiches) was not a good idea, insofar as the effect on my w/kg is concerned.

We’ll be going to de Nederlands in a few weeks and are hoping to get to sample some other brands.

The freshly made ones at Whole Paycheck are also pretty good, and i seem to recall that they are a bit softer

I do; fell in love with them many many years ago during a business assignment in The Netherlands.
We also buy them regularly at Costco and surprisingly, United Airlines now lets you chose between pretzels, a cookie and a stroopwafel as a snack.
Literally the only thing that UAL does better than other airlines

I like Daelman's, which you can buy on Amazon.

I previously got a different brand on Amazon, and I think it was this one (Verweij). I remember them being chewier than Daelman's. I like Daelman's taste better, although Daelman's are more expensive than that other brand.

Honey Stinger waffles are the ones typically preferred.

They have the Rip Van Waffel varieties at the cafe at work. I've tried a couple and thought they were good, but no blown away. Maybe I need to try them during a ride, or try some of these European brands. I'll add it to my list, along with the German Haribo bears.

Re:

I usually just pick-up a box while strolling through Costco... and stock-up when they go on sale ($25).
