A stock impero is $165. let's say $25 of that is the aluminum body, leaving $140 for the internals which FF has re-purposed.
A butted ti tube - $100? so now that's $240 ($140 internals + $100 tube). add $60 for FF premium and boom, $300. It is what it is. If you gotta have it, go get it. |

If you can afford a Firefly frame, you can afford a Firefly pump and if you want something from Firefly but can't afford the full bike, then $300 gets you some bling for a fraction of the cost of a frame.
I'm hoping that if/when I get a Firefly several years down the road, the pump will be passe due to someone figuring out how to have bike tires that never go flat. |

Reminds me of when I was ordering up my Serotta Colorado TG in '90(?). I was getting a red f/f and the LBS asked if I wanted a Silca pump with the matching color for $50. I still remember him saying once you see it, you'll want it.
I got it. No brainer. |

The appeal of the pump for me is that I considered getting one painted, and it was $$$. Independent Fabrications offers any of their stock colors for $295 - but you can't match ti with paint imo.
