It was a beautiful day to be on a bike!

The group I ride with is still (and will be for the foreseeable future) organizing weekly social distance rides. Today's ride was a 61-mile loop through some beautiful countryside in southcentral Minnesota.

Dog Encounter

I met up with some friends yesterday morning for an 89 mile (143 km) ride. My only regret was not bringing my rear-facing GoPro along. We had an encounter with a very determined pit bull that would've made for some good video – I caught the forward-facing view of the incident. One of our riders notified the sheriff's office about the loose pup as it's been a problem in the past. It's just a matter of time before the dog or a rider is hurt in an altercation with it. Other than that, it was a beautiful day to be on a bike.

Here's some riding that we get living in NY city. The struggle is to get out and find some open roads which usually means a drive out for the day or a weekend event. But city riding can be fun too.. it's like racing but against cars

City riding

Delaware Water Gap (Rapha Prestige)

New Jersey countryside

Nice videos! What's the riding like in Central Park? I imagine it attracts a lot of other cyclists, making it more difficult to dial up the effort.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.
Can you provide a bit more details about your camera setup? What do you use, where is it mounted, maybe a pic? Thanks.

A Windy and Cool TNG

Here are some snippets of video from our recent windy and cool Tuesday Night Gravel ride out of Northfield, Mn with the Cannon Valley Velo Club. We're experiencing upwards of 40 riders turning out for our 5:30 start from Bridge Square in the heart of the city. We break up into several groups along the way as the ride shakes out. Come join us if you're in the area!

descent in northwest NY-holding a canon g12

eastward descent on kancamagus-holding an iphone

yes, i know 1-handing it just under 50mph going downhill is ridiculously dumb, but alas...for science!
I love this

The ride with the horses looks like a lot of fun

Ah, true. It would more appropriately be named KOS for King of Segment.

One pal, I hope you were not hurt too badly from that fall.

We had an unusually cold ride this past Saturday during the annual fund raising event Armadillo Classic hosted by our local bike advocacy group called Bike Austin. The temperature at the start line was 35 degrees. It was in the 60s and 70s just a couple of days ago, a big drop over night on Friday. Anyway, here's the video.

I was there and that's the coldest ride I've had, at least the coldest I was not prepared for!
