I bought some art

Recent vintage, c.2013.

It’s quite beautiful in person. There’s some gold sparkle in there. And the panels are framed nicely, I’d say.

It’s lived its life in the world, not in a museum, and shows it here and there. I think that makes it more valuable though, not less. But what do I know, I’m a rider, not a professional collector.

Ride that sucker. Too many buy a 'tool' and let it become a 'safe queen'..(those in another 'leisure time activity', will know what I mean). Made to ride, build it and ride it...

I have been trying to figure out the technique used to make the panels look like that. Nice colors.

This particular one was a custom with a note from Dario to the original owner back by the NDS dropout, so I’m guessing he did the paint on the panels, but who knows. It looks like some layers were applied to create the effect. It’s more rich in person than I could capture. Fun stuff. Awaiting some parts and then it’ll stop being a wall hanger.

I don’t think so. Always a bit hard to tell until built but it’s basically a stock 60 w a 18ish HT (21.5 w headset).. 59-TT and 72-ish STA I believe. Only potential issue is the Falz is cut for a slammed stem, but I can easily (tho not cheaply) get one paint matched straight from Pegoretti if needed.

Looks kind of like that "rag rolled" wall painting technique that was popular in the '90's.....(not dissing the look.....it looks great).

That’s a better art purchase than Bob Dylan’s auto-penned books and paintings…

Ah, you bought that one off eBay. Nice catch and good price. That's a beautiful paint job. I love the panels Dario created. They are indeed like artwork.

I hemmed, hawwwwd, and caved. Been chasing the perfect Peg for too long not to give it a try.. though this one isn’t far off the Thelonius I sent up to Geordanh in BC. Maybe 1cm less reach. And that one is arguably in a bit better shape. Potato(e).
