I apologize, but in my defense, the 2021-2022 season just finished.

Danke schön . Really appreciate you humoring me and tolerating my butchering of your native tongue. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick up much more from watching a few German TV shows.
Speaking of der fussball and hause, football is likely coming home to Bavaria yet again though. I really like Mané (shouldnt be a surprise to those having the misfortunes of having read my ramblings), and Musiala seems to be developing nicely. Unfortunately, I will sit out watching the World Cup. I started watching soccer/ football because of the national team of my adopted homeland, and I've followed the USMNT since its 2006 campaigns. I would have loved to watch the MNT in 2018, but we all know how that story went. Too bad that the first opportunity that this talented generation gets to perform on a global stage is in Qatar of all places. F***. I'd loved to watch the MNT scrap it out against Wales and Iran, but there's no way I'd want to indulge this. The last winter Olympics was held in the country of my birth, and I boycotted watching that whole shenanigan on principles, too. I turned to watching soccer as a distraction from the harsh realities of news stories, but those responsible for harsh realities really like to interject themselves into soccer... Oh well, I'm really hoping for good CX racing in November and December... Last edited by echappist; 07-31-2022 at 08:41 PM. |

Oh yikes, Bayern’s gonna make it 11 in a row, isn’t it?
Up by four at the half, with Mané opening his accounts… |

Interesting to see how the Yank invasion works at Leeds. Shades of Bocanegra, Dempsey, & McBride at Fulham years ago.

Fulham is presently fielding two Yanks, though i don’t think Ream will see much action for the national team.

Crystal Palace has a Yank as well. Very cool to see these kids do well in the Prem.

Leeds match summary from the BBC:
Tyler Adams and Marc Roca kept it largely simple in the midfield berth left by Kalvin Phillips, Rasmus Kristensen provided all-action width from full-back and Patrick Bamford returned to give glimpses of why he was on the fringe of the England squad before injury struck last season. The standout performer was Aaronson, though, who was a constant source of energy and endeavour during his time on the pitch. He lacks the outright flair of Raphinha - the man he was brought in to help replace - but in his own industrious way could prove as effective. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62358052

11 in a row is not an outlandish prediction, with over a decade of CL money to spend..
