Q36.5 Advise

Black Friday got me looking at some deals on bibshorts.
I currently use Giordana Silverline, Pactimo, La Passione.

I really like the pad in the Silverline but the legs are too long and there are gaps around the leg grippers so they ride up. I just ordered another pair thinking they might have fixed the problem but they are the same so I am returning them. Also durability is just ok, I have three pairs that are showing signs of wear.

Pactimo I liked at first but now the material is stretched out and the pad is way to soft and thick.

La Passione I like these because they have good compression and a thinner and firmer pad. Would buy again but would like to try something else.

Which brings me to Q36.5. I like shorts that have good compression and the legs stay in place. Looking at Q36.5 offerings it seems the Dottore matches best with my needs. Right now they are $212 with the 20% discount. I have never spent that much on bibshorts but willing to give it a try if they are as good as what I have been hearing. Thinking about getting a pair of their Women's shorts for my wife. Thanks for any input.

Q36.5 make wonderful pieces and their bib shorts are very, very good. I've tried these bibs:

Assos:
S5 Uno
S7 Equipe and Equipe Evo
S7 Cento
S9 RS and RS Targa
S9 RSR and RSR Targa

Giordana:
FRC

Castelli:
Free Aero
Free Aero 4

Q36.5:
Dottore L1
Dottore X

I would put the Q36.5 Dottore X and Assos S9 series (particularly the RSR Targa) at the top of my list. Great compression, comfy pad (Q36.5 is narrower and thinner), light fabric, and grippy legs that don't slip. The Dottore L1 has been revised to be quite similar to the X, which is a good thing.

Thanks for all the great feedback. These seem promising.
It’s tempting to pull the trigger with the 20% discount but I have already spent way too much on my cycling this year but going to order the shorts for my wife.
I still have bibs that are usable but these will likely be the next ones I buy.

If not in a hurry, Bikeinn has good prices....ordered some Q36.5 stuff late summer and took about 3 weeks to arrive.

Not sure I love the fabrics as much as I thought I would ("crunchy"?), but comfy stuff. Also, they have the non-sewn hems (laser cut?) so I worry about durability....good cut and fit though....

Love my Dottore bibs. I've got a pair going on five years old that I've relegated to trainer duty, but they're still wonderfully comfy and the chamois has yet to pack out.
