Sounds perfectly reasonable for mileage that you'd need new pads on 4 corners and new rotors up front. I would have expected them to turn the rear rotor to be flat rather than just replacing the pads. Although many rotors these days are not intended to be trued as if they get enough wear to need it, they are worn out.

i dont agree with this blanket statement.

US car-culture has been conditioned to equate any brake squeal with a braking problem, which is not necessarily true. lots-and-lots-and-lots of race cars have brakes that squeal like hell and stop plenty good.

AC/DC on the stereo, and turn it up loud. Problem solved (also works with Kids, Pets and old moaning people)
