Breakaway ti for my wife

Sometimes the easiest way to go N+1is to go N+2. Here’s my wife’s Christmas present, a fully custom ti breakaway. It’s tiny (she’s 4’11”), but we still got 2 cages on board. The bike is running 650b x 42c but can also handle 700x36. Fully built, it’s at 18.67lbs. Apologies to the domestic framebuilders, but cost drove me overseas for this and my frame. Still, the welding is excellent and the attention to detail is perfect. I did the anodizing and blasting myself, as well as the design and the build. My own frame is still in production.

Thanks. I wish I could weld, too, but I can do all the rest. Each frame is like a blank canvas, and ever couple of years I do a refurbish for fun. I’m also doing HTFU spacers. Might even sell a few.

Built this one up today. Weather is not bike friendly lately, but a good opportunity to build up the bikes I had waiting. Lynskey R350 with chorus mid compact group and ksyrium slr r-sys wheels. Should be a fun ride once the weather gets better.

Nice "Ski". I just sent in a Helix Pro, back to Lynskey, to have all the logos bead blasted.

Looks good Matt. I'd love to hear how you feel about the ride. Have not owned a ti/carbon bike yet.

I haven't been able to take it out yet, but read good things when looking for a wheelset for this build. Probably won't actually get a chance for a couple of months, but I am looking forward to it!

Looks really nice for being built up from parts just laying around. I'm thinking of doing the same thing with an incoming frame, but my parts laying around are more of the Shimano 105 Ksyrium elite variety.

Nice.
Was this frameset from Classifieds?
Also curious what you think of ti/carbon.
