85 miles on my gravel bike today... not all of it gravel, but it opens up some really spectacular route options.

I believe these are just regular redwoods, which themselves can still get to be pretty gigantic, but are technically a different genus than the "giant" ones.

This was at (or near, I'm not sure exactly where I was at the time) Big Basin Redwoods State Park http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=540 deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where every ride is this good.
