I can’t go by a bike shop without stopping in. So at a minimum, if I don’t buy anything substantial, I’ll at least buy a water bottle.

So I have a bunch, but god forbid, not many matching.

Bike fashion police, don’t write me a ticket!

I don't have a problem at all with Rapha having a $220 allen key set. I am not going to buy it so it has no impact on me. I can still buy other Rapha products I like. It is just the Silca set branded for Rapha and only $10 more than the Silca limited edition set.

When it comes to water bottles it takes some effort to get bottles that go with your bike and with your jerseys. I have two colors of Rapha and 2 colors of Polar.

The New York City water supply is primarily sourced from reservoirs in the Catskill Mountains. The Ashokan reservoir is one example. Central Park Lake is actually the emergency water supply for New York.

The creation of the system is an interesting local history story and if interested, I'd suggest checking out the film "Deep Water," by documentary filmmaker Tobe Carey.

NYC doesn't treat their water because it's so pure coming out of the Catskills; they like to say that they filter at the source, not at the tap. EPA allows this because NYC tap water (at least going into the municipal system) is cleaner than EPA standards.

i applaud your actually useful and contributory third post, rather than going through the gallery posting "nice!", even if it is a relative zombie thread.
cheers

Best value hands down for the best bottles with the coolest squirrel camo out there. Also, the lids on these do not leak. They will not leak-even after 2 years of use.

2 Purists bottles with the superior WaterGate lid for $15.99 shipped, with 2 color options.

Of course, in Valencia I heard people say that the water is the reason the paella is so good, and in Montreal I heard that the water is the reason that the bagels are so good.

Maybe the water in Shenzhen is the reason that the plastic is so good...
It's always the water......

Yeah, but compared to carbon. . . you get that steel bottle “planing” and watch out, the water really flows!

$30 Rapha water bottles Ha! But I'm a Fred. I pickup my bottles as promos and convention schwag. That way I don't care when I lose them or give them to someone else.

If I need a new bottle, I'll usually just trade some bits from the parts drawer to a the local shop in exchange.

Win-Win!

OK since we are talking about water bottles. What happened to Travel Kuppe stainless cycling water bottle? Those insulated camelbacks don't keep your drink cold for an hour in this south texas heat. Unlike Rapha they would be worth $30.https://www.amazon.com/Travel-Vacuum.../dp/B073F1S37S
