Mine wouldn't work on whatever the current name for MS browser is. Impossible to type anything without it snagging, would take minutes to type a single character at times. Switched to firefox with adblocker and it was fine.

One of my neighbors (a retired guy in his 80's) up to perhaps only 5-6 years ago was still using WebTV for this thing called email. To have called it a painful-to-watch process is an understatement....

I helped him along with the cable company to get him set up with this new thing called the internet and computers. Picked up an affordable desktop, monitor and a printer on his behalf, and went from there.

Oh what a journey it's been since. Naturally I got roped in to being his personal tech support.

(He's a great guy though and I'm happy to help. He's now an online news junkie. A whole world has opened up, especially sports coverage which he devours.)

After they got hacked (twice) and didn't disclose it (twice), yahoo is dead to me. "your privacy is important to us" bite me.

I wouldn't use any yahoo (now Verizon) related mail service even if they gave me Marissa's golden parachute.

Whoa, this was because of Yahoo? This has been happening in Yahoo mail at times for the last few days. Assumed it was my laptop at fault.

I've had a lot of problems with Yahoo email recently, both in Chrome and Firefox. Then again, I still have Windows Vista on my PC, so it may be due to that too.

Problem was with Yahoo when using the Microsoft browser, whatever it's called on Windows 10. Has something to do with the constant barrage of ads I think. No issues when using it on Firefox with Adblock Plus.

Yep, using Edge. Dang, I just wrestled McAfee Antivirus to the ground in order to keep my laptop usable.
