Serotta ST bearing tool
I finally had time to give this a shot. I will find out tonight if it works , not sure if the M4 thread will handle the force. The part on the left will go through the CS and the next washer part goes between the CS and SS. Then the last part goes on the outside of the SS and will hopefully center itself with countersink. If everything goes as planned I should be able to screw it all together and remove the bearing without any hammer or tapping.

Looks like the od on the washer needs to be smaller. Should work tomorrow.

Thanks , I was going to lend it out to whomever wants to use it. I also have left over wave washers for the taking. This is pretty basic I am usually doing 3d stuff.

That is very generous and the type of thing that makes this place great.
I'm sure a lot of folks are like me and would like to swap out bearings every once and a while. Mine are 15 years old now and could probably use a refresh. |

This is a kinder more gentle approach. No driving the bearing out , it's pressed out instead. Easier on the bike.

Just removed one bearing with the modification I made to my washer , came out easy without any torque to the frame.

Thank you for the generous offer. I'll be in touch after ski season when I'm home again on the weekends and can work on the bikes.

I had a hard time removing the shoulder screws so I used a quick clamp with the protective rubber caps removed and pressed (squezzed) them out.

I would love to borrow this tool!
Hello all,
I understand from "93svt96" that this tool is out in circulation. Would love to use it as I just acquired a Legend Ti ST and need to change the bearings out. Would be happy to Venmo/Paypal the postage. Thanks, Brad |

this is the exact reason why I never bought a ottrott. the other models that included the st seat stays did not use the bearing setup which I have always questioned as a gimmick. just my two cents. my corsa had the st seat stays and it was a lovely bike w/o the bearing setup and maintenance thereof. also offered on the legend, hsg and the fierte. might also have been offered on the meivici but sure of that.
