Favaloro Puma NTO

I picked this up recently from a local bike shop, Red Lantern Cycles. It was custom built for the shop owner and I just love the unique features it has throughout. Luckily for me (maybe not for my wallet), the owner and I are very similarly sized/proportioned. The frame had been tempting me for some time and I finally took the plunge. More to come!

Very nice! Not a bike you see often over here in the US. I have heard great things about the build quality. Enjoy and looking forward to see how it is built up.

Can safely say that this is a brand and frame that I've never heard of before (love Paceline for the education!). Fork and chainstays look stout, be interested to hear what you think of the ride.

Me too. I chuckle when people I meet say they have a bike that I have surely never heard of - I just say 'try me' and I think I have failed at one or two in 35yrs of cycling.

Never heard of Favaloro! Very cool and I bet its a rocket ship to ride.

Smile built

Meant to update this a while ago, been a bit busy with house projects, family and happily long summer riding.

This frame feels great out on the road. It feels much more like a steel frame than other carbon frames I've ridden. A lot of carbon is almost too light and feels almost toy like, to me. This Favaloro is not that. Feels serious, substantial.

It is built up with Campy Record 11 speed that moved over from another frame. Deda stem & seatpost with Pro Vibe carbon bars (nice fit for my hands) and Fulcrum Speed 40T wheels, currently Vittoria Corsa 25mm tubulars. Mr. Favaloro makes his own bottom bracket and only compatible with Campy cranksets. I can't really think of anything to change on it yet, other than maybe my amateur, first time bar taping job.

I tried to take some pictures to give a sense of the size of all the tubes. The down tube with the bottle cage gives some perspective. The chain & seat stays are also quite a bit different from anything else I've seen out there, in both size & shape. The size of the tubes alone likely gives the bike a stiffer feel, which is probably why it feels more substantial overall to me.

Bottom line is that this frame is a lot of fun to ride!
and fast.
