Funny...Especially as Thomas is Welch and Wales has always hated the English...

The sticker on the F12 of Thomas is the Wales also, not the UK flag.

And nobody in favour of the Columbian, Spanish, German or Danish??

I personally don’t think that we can rule them out so soon...

Let’s see what happen...

Tour de France *LIVE* *SPOILERS*

The only certainty I can foresee is NBC continuing its 20th anniversary coverage of -7's first Tour win.

Such memories

I really hope JA can hold on and keep yellow onto the Champs or have it fall into Pinot's shoulders but...

I just don't want to see ANY Ineos rider winning!!! I think that would ruin this amazing Tour for me.

Hehe loved the way Ciccone dropped into the abyss

if AF had a bad day, there could be 5 riders within a couple of seconds on top

This race is wide open because of Ineos weaknesses. Ineos can't control the peloton anymore. Their leaders are not as strong this year and their support riders are much weaker. They no longer intimidate the other GC teams and riders.

A couple of late comments re last Sunday's mountain stage.

I don't think it is fair to criticize JA after the fact. He is an attacking rider from
France who is wearing yellow and everyone has been saying he has no chance to win the TDF. I am sure he was pumped and felt pretty invincible. He needs to ride his style.

Just like Thomas rides his style. He was dropped and just went his own pace and recovered nicely. I don't understand the comments about him being lucky. He rode the way he rides just like JA did.

Jeff

GT vs JA

As a proud Welshman (not Welchman!) I thought I’d pipe in...

Last year G (hate that nickname BTW) was a big deal in these parts, but even before the TdF started, my Hope/dream was that anyone other than an INEOS rider would win the tour, and my dream is at least on the cards. They (INEOS) to my understanding have such a bigger budget than anyone else makes it such a non-level playing field, that we just don’t know how good G (or Froome, or Wiggins) are (even ignoring mystery Jiffy bags and the like).

Breaks my heart a little to say (being a traitorous cur) but come on JA or TB !!!

The question to me is: the support riders are the same (kwiatkowski, Poels, Castroviejo), so are they really weaker?
Or is it just mentally the rest of the field has finally realized that they weren't invincible. Breaking the shield of intimidation takes just one time, and then once there's doubt the other teams have pounced and started putting time into them.
