Two years ago, Simon Yates looked to have the Giro pretty much in the bag. And then...
Love the drama of the Grand Tours. One bad day and it can change everything. I think it's been a great Tour thus far.

That last part did not look that steep in the TV... darn!....
As for todays, ineos did not have it for a while or they could have tried to do something else in previous stages. Besides the cross wind attack they havent show that much either. I saw the last 40 km maybe and Welsh man was suffering before the tourmalet, it was a thing of just waiting IMO, and it happened. Honestly I do not know if the peloton went faster than ever before, but remember that usually we were getting gaps between the guys, today pretty much was a 6 guys compact group that went all together, somebody knows if they went faster or slower than previous editions of the race? Nairo, nairo had his thing before... he is riding ok but the old nairo hasent been home in a while now, maybe lack of racing days? maybe it is what it is and the guys are just riding faster than him? any opinions? As for movistar, well... they always do the same thing, pull a full to kill even their own riders second time it happen his this race the problem is that QUintana, valverde and landa dont have it too much this year... not bad but not good enough. Im rooting for rigoberto to do something epic ;P Quote:

I think today will be very interesting. Yesterday did not seem that fast most of the time and a lot of the riders who were dropped are names who are no longer at their best or never were consistent.
On the other hand it was the first time in a long time that Sky/Ineos did not control on the climbs. In the past other GC contenders were afraid to attack. Yesterday Ineos had nothing, which should change the attitude of the other teams. Looking forward to seeing who is strong today. Jeff |

good race today, nice to see the yellow jersey getting attacked and responding.
Can Pinot repeat a few more times for France to celebrate a champion? |

Pinot rode himself back into contention with a superb ride. I could see Thomas looked good on the yellow jerseys wheel and knew it was coming. Go Pinot!!!!!!

Post stage commentary =>
Rider #15 is right and CVV is an idiot JP made a bunch of tactical errors on the final climb and Thomas was little lucky to have a teammate on hand to steady things when he blew Pinot...wow |

Entering the final week of the Tour, we do not know who is going to win.
We haven't been able to say that for eight years.
