Is there a Della Santa thread here by any chance? Didn't know y'all had a thing for Roland here. I'm born & raised in Reno so kind of a given my first road bike had to be a DS ... also lived in NYC for years so seemed appropriate to have a Serotta as well.
I'd be very happy to give your 57 a home should a 58 turn up for you.

1995 CSI catalog paint scheme

New to me 1995 CSI, serial no. CC 58 641 - my first (quality) lugged steel road bike - simply a work of art!

'95 csi

Just ran across this thread looking for info on my CSI. As best as I can determine, this one is a '95. S/N: CS 58L 167. Not exactly positive since I read the thread quickly, but it appears to be one of the earliest ones listed. Given other's comments about the age of their CSI and lower S/N, I felt this one would also be a '95 also. It has the DT bosses of the earlier CSIs. But, the yellow paint color was not an option in '95 per the catalogs. Plus it also has the 25th Anniversary Sticker on the DT near the BB. My only conclusion was that it was sent back to the factory for a repaint and got the updated decals. The yellow color wasn't initially a draw for me, but it's grown on me. Serottas don't commonly pop up in my neck of the woods, so one can't be too choosy.

1997 25th Anniversary Edition
"CS 54L 316" It has a 56 top tube. "Long and Low" Recently rebuilt with carbon fork and Ultegra 11 speed group. Weighs about 19 lbs. I also have a newer Legend Ti with the same 54L (54/56) geometry. Much lighter (a tad over 17 lbs) but I like both bikes equally well. I have owned a LOT of steel bikes and in my humble opinion the CSi is right there among the best steel bikes ever made. Perfect combination of speed, balance, and comfort.

My CSI, Ser# C57L268, with a nice paint color that I wish I knew the (Serotta) name of. Anyone? In my stable next to the Concours (54cm). A tad too big for me, but I put compact bars on, and that helps. Laced some SR rims, 'cause they be shiney! Ride so smooth, wish it were a 54 tho...

To help with hills n such, I swapped out the Campy Record 8 speed and put an SR crankset triple on with a 28t low ring, ditto Campy rear triple derailleur. Cassette is 13-28 Miche, so I can actually ride the hills here. 39t/25t just was a...no.

I'll join in: my CSi CS58.5 1818
I got it in 2000 (hence my handle) The paint had an issue and had to go back for a repaint. As an apology they custom painted the Ti stem. Apparently it was not common to paint a stem so I believe it to be fairly rare.
Pearl White (can't remember what the Serotta name was) with Sapphire Blue panels, stem and fork.
Ride is amazing but haven't taken it out in years.

New to me last Summer with the help of two fellow Paceliners. SN CCS 58.5 2155…2001 CSi in big boy blue with an F1 fork, and a mix of Campag 10-speed with Record/OP wheels. TdF lugs too with a Serotta head badge…one of the smoothest riding, best handling bikes that I’ve owned.

FYI: CSI serial numbers - 198 is a December 1995 model, and 272 is 1996 model, and CSI-56-808 was Jan 1997. Thus yours may actually be a 1996. My CS57L268 is very late 1995 or early 1996. Ain't they great though!?
