My first one.....

This one is from around 2004. This on was built for me and was supposed to have TdF lugs. I was a tiny bit disappointed when I pulled it out of the box but it was such a great looking frameset that I kept it.

One of the last ones built......

even has TdF lugs, F3 fork and Kelly Bedford's signature on the chainstay. Bike is about a 2007 vintage. There were only a couple more built after this one.

This one is pretty special......

25th anniversary CSi....TdF lugs, F1 fork, nickel plated lug tips and Shimano 25th anniversary group.
I was lucky enough to buy this bike from my my good friend Mike Grotz, owner of CycleSport in Parkridge NJ.

All I've done so far is clean it up a bit and make sure the mechanicals work. The bike is super clean and easily pretty much as good cosmetically as anything I have. Winter is full on here though and I may not get it out to see how it feels for months. That thought sucks.

I did luck out a bit. I set up the fit today and once I dialed in the saddle position I found that the reach to the bars with spot on. So no stem hunting for this one!
Are there windows in your dropouts? I was looking at gomango's bike and his has windows in the dropouts, while abguff's doesn't appear to have them. The three frames are not very far apart in serial numbers.

The 770 remains unbuilt. One of these days......

596 is another that may be on the border between '95 and '96.

Pic of 770? Any difference in details vs. 596 other than geometry?

I'd guess you are right. First year was 1995.

Yes, here's a pic. This was extensively modified by Eric Estlund.

New fork, discs and fenders.

Following an earlier forum thread, it was a damaged frame, but it had a big upside in value if handled properly by Eric.

I picked it up a few years ago from a forum member for my son.

He promptly outgrew it before I could build it and it doesn't quite fit me.

I'm incredibly lazy when it comes to selling my unused bikes/framesets, so here it sits.

It is definitely available at a decent price if it fits a forum member.

Csi

I purchased my early CSI from Pros Closet earlier this year. My number is: CC 65 767. It does not have lugs on head tube. Steel fork. Black with some metal flake. Any idea on the year?

After looking at my own CSI, I'm thinking your dropouts have a small window. Here are a solid dropout from a Legend Ti (1994 ish), a Campagnolo on a 1992 Colorado II (big window) and CSI 958 (1997?) with a small window.

Wow that's a beauty. I wish it were bigger. It looks to have Campagnolo dropouts, so the change must have been made somewhere between 770 and 958. I assume 770 had the DT shifter bosses originally. Thanks for posting it.

Based on the serial numbers posted in this thread, I think mine is older than I thought. Serial no. CS 57 1654, which puts it in the 1999-2000 range. Amazing to think that a 17 - 18 year old frame rides as nicely as anything I own. Simply spectacular.

Here is a shot of the rear dropouts (vertical, with a small window, but not 3D):

Hey Happy, is that a repaint? I had no idea Serotta was still painting bikes like that in the CSI era.
