Is Bianchi cool?

I am not well versed on all things Bianchi and stumbled across this:

https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/...086195548.html

I am sure there are numerous Bianchi fans on this board. Anyone care to help educate me?

Thumbs up

Celeste is the coolest paint color to ever come out of a spraygun.

My first real road bike was an `85 Bianchi Stelvio (mid level bike)
Haven't ridden it in years:

Bianchi is cool.

That one you have linked is a mid level frame with entry level parts. Way overpriced. I have an ‘83 Specialissima that is a really nice rider.

I thought that the Celeste paint was only used on the top end model in the 80's?
(I know that back then I couldn't afford it and settled on the Stelvio. Came in either Gray or Red)

we're probably in the minority,but i agree!

Bianchi will always be cool.lots of history there like Campagnolo.some are cooler than others and lots more cool in the US as opposed to Italy,i think they are sorta mundane to the Italians

Bianchi is the oldest bicycle manufacturer in business. Since 1897

That's cool.

Bianchi is cool.
When I wanted to get back in shape and lose weight, I pulled my old Bianchi out (I hadn't ridden it in over 10 years), and proceeded on a journey that shed 60 pounds over a few years and culminated in my best year (in miles, 7,500)
I've since bought a new Carbon and a new Ti custom frames.
My Bianchi is cool.

I think the seller means "tubular" tires.

Bianchis were cool up to the Mercatone era. Jumbo-Visma has made the new ones cool. Everything in-between was kind of... yuck. The city bikes and pistas, yeesh.

I disagree. The Milano made Bianchi cool in the late 90's. We sold a bunch of them, especially the Mixte version. They did ruin it when they did the red tires, saddle and grips. They should've kept it tan for those.

I agree.

The B.A.S.S K.I.S.S B.O.S.S ss mountain bikes in the 90's killed. Volpe was in a way the beginning of gravel. Mega Ex Pro. Specialaissima (sorry spelling) were hot road bikes.

Cool

The Pista was a lot of track racers first bike round Dick Lane velodrome during that period. Nice bike for the money and great to hit the banking with. Between that that all the fixie kids who got into bikes with it, I'd say the pista was a pretty awesome bike for the money.

Also Bianchi will always and forever be Fausto Coppi. And Coppi was very, very cool.
