Faglum Bros, Gosta Pettersson... - legend
..and also Merckx's buddy in the peloton.
And owner of the Monark and Crescent brands
He imported frames from Merckx since 1986 (maybe 1985) - the one on the picture is 1987 ? - he was the most important EMC representative in Scandinavia !
The frame is repainted, note the lack of colored fillings on the fork crown and logo (and probably the lettering on the brake bridge)
As Crescent / Merckx it would be even cooler

If possible check card and markings on steering tube - if it survived
Thank you sir.
Not planning to repaint. I am just going to give it a good scrubbing then clean up that rust spot and ride the heck out of it.

That is a great body of information!
You were very helpful with the info on my two EM bikes and I thank you for that.
But this is a whole other level of info on a legendary brand. A standard of reference for sure.

Well, the serial# on the BB shell seems to confirm that this is indeed a Corsa Extra, but what else can you tell me about this frame?
Cyclocross, rando, touring?

I don't see any confirmation in the photo that this is an SLX.
This is a 1995 Lady model.
Those frames were built with SLX or Cromor/Gara
The only way to confirm: look at the tube ends visible through the BB cover - "riflings" means bonus

Thanks, besides it being a Corsa Extra and a women's bike, I am wondering about the canti bosses.
Did EM ever make a Corsa Extra (mens) for cantilever brakes?

yes and no
Corsa Extra is a road model and canti was not mounted there
What you can see on the photo is Cyclocross with Corsa Extra inscription (beautiful!)- in Cyclocross model canti were always mounted, just like in Trekking model

EMC Frame ID help

Bought this used, updated its parts, and have loved it. It’s a 48cm frame, so the front lugs touch together. From what I’ve been able to gather, it’s from the 80s. Strangely, the BB has no numbers on the left side. Right side is Z 9224. The fork didn’t have any numbers either. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zou...w?usp=drivesdk

Questions:
Any sense of year and model?
What kind of tubing?
Anything else to know about it?

Other photo:

Thanks in advance!

Z9224 built in autumn 1986, repainted.
Model Corsa Extra (SLX or R753) or Criterium (SLX).
"Nearby" Z9224 are the frame markings built for Panasonic and Lotto for the 1987 season.
No "technical" markings: as a rule, R753 and Criterium had their markings "stamped" on the steering tube.
Check the "riflings" inside the tubes visible through the BB cover and in the steering tube.

Cross post I started looking for info on my dad's Merckx before I was directed here.

ID under the BB is "4" & a "P" on the drive-side and
"933" & a "Z" on the non-drive.
