Ti Cycles Fabrication?
I've just been reassured by a Seven dealer that my non-Seven Ti bike is repairable but they didn't know who would do it.
A Internet search turned up a Portland company called Ti Cycles Fabrication. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I will go ahead and ask a dumb question...what kind of repair are we talking about?

Dave Levy has been building and repairing ti frames for many years and is well established and capable. Whether your particular repair is feasible warrants direct contact and discussion with your candidate shop(s).

The only dumbness involved was mine when I dented the seat tube.

I have no direct experience but I have long heard good things about Ti Cycles for this kind of job. I would not hesitate if my ti bike took a knock.

On the recommendation of someone here, I had Dave Levy drill holes into my Ti frame for Di2.
He was super professional throughout. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. |

Recommended. They've made me two custom stems, one ti and one steel. Straight shooters. Would definitely trust them with your job, and maybe see what else they could do with your frame for fun.

I've got some production parts (ti stem and post) from Dave and the crew at Ti Cycles. Got more in a cart to order before long as well.
Haven't needed anything custom, but wouldn't hesitate. I had a good long chat with him at NAHBS in Charlotte and he knows his stuff. |

Dave and Eric are a very good choice. In my experience if the dent is not creased/cracked in the crease you are better off to leave it alone and just keep an eye on it. Anytime you weld an area it will weaken it in the heat affected zone.
With many dents a, skilled builder including Dave, can use a good set of tube blocks to remove a dent that is not creased. I have done this on several occasions with good success, but it does take patience and skill. |

Seen work outta that shop more than a few times. Expensive, but workmanship level as good as it gets.
just look at the retrofit gallery/pages: https://www.ticycles.com/retrofit
