Myacalu Ti - and questions

Macalu Cirrus (not Myacalu - but it is My Macalu) can't edit title

House brand for Excel Sports (a big Merlin dealer @ th time). Has the 1" Merlin chainstays & curved seat stay. My question(s) = Any insiders on the Forum that can talk to the Macalu story? It was around the Merlin/Litespeed acquisition/merger, so I don't know if this bike is a Tennessee or Massachusetts welded frame; was it 'designed' by Merlin or 'spec'd' by Excel, or just a way to use up tubing after the year's production runs. Acquired as a frameset in '08/09 from a guy in Boulder, including the Litespeed branded fork (Real Design). I have never owned any other Ti, it's not high-zoot like the other beauties in this thread, but it sure rides smoothly and the triple with 11-23 has it pegged as 'my long distance bike where there's lots of elevation gain'.

From my ride last Friday on my favorite route, the Marin Headlands Loop. It was another beautiful fall day (even though we need rain badly).

My 1996 Litespeed Classic.
