Fair assessment !

I think it may be even hotter than [hellish] normal this year. I’m visiting a very old gold mining location tomorrow and can’t help but having my mind wander to what some of the early settlers up here went through without modern air conditioning; working their backs off on the land. Yikes.

looks like we're going to get rained on for this week's 1000km brevet in Va, WVa, and MD. This could be a problem for my butt since it was pretty well exfoliated on last week's 600k. It has rained here in central PA every day for quite some time. Getting pretty soggy and I'm sure the mosquitoes are going to be hungry.
