FS: Pegoretti Responsorium w/Record 12

I bought this a few months back. It's absolutely glorious. But, because the roads around here are so unbelievably trashed at the moment, I always choose my Moots or my 333fab instead. It's embarrassing to have a bike this nice sitting on a hook, so I'm going to try to sell it.

Here's what I've got:

2015 Peg Respo with 'NK' paint
TT = 56 c-c
ST = 55.5 c-c
HT - 15.9 between the cups
CK headset
Falz fork with enough steerer for 30 mm of spacers
Campy Record 12 group
11-32 cassette
34-50 x 172.5 crank
Campy Bora One wheels
Fizik R1 bar 44 c-c
Fizik R1 stem 90 mm
also including a Fizik R1 stem 100 mm
Fizik R3 post 31.6 (I think)
Fizik saddle
Dura Ace pedals
King stainless cages

The bike was sold to me with less than 200 miles on it. I've put maybe another 100 or so. Everything looks nearly new except for a scuff on the non-drive-side chainstay.

I'm asking $6500 obo for a local deal. Local is NorCal or thereabouts. I'll meet you halfway. If you want me to ship the bike, I'll ask that you pay the cost of having it professionally packed and actual shipping through BikeFlights. I'll provide receipts.

I'm using selected pics from the original ad. I hope that's not a violation of forum rules. If it is, please let me know. Feel free to be in touch if you have any questions. Thanks for your consideration!

I'm running a 30 in the rear and a 28 up front. The rear is tight, but it works. I don't think there's more room up front. I do have a set of eebrakes that might provide more clearance. If you're interested in those, let's talk.

Bump because, despite it being way too big for me, it’s a forking tragedy for a bike this nice to have seen 300 miles in its lifetime. Somebody please buy and ride the hell out of this, that’s what it was made for.

Totally agree. The few times I've found even remotely decent tarmac, it's just sailed along: fast, agile, smooth, and a stellar climber. I'd like nothing more than to keep it, but it won't get ridden more than a few times every year, which seems stupid and wasteful.

Funny. You had me looking very closely at your crank and build list to figure out how you got a 28T chainring on there.

GLWS. That is so beautiful.

Just a tad smaller and I'd be seriously considering ...

My Marcelo has the most satisfying ride of any bike I own.. only reason I'd consider parting with it is if I could get a Respo ^^

I've owned a Marcelo and absolutely loved it, even though it was a tad too long for me. Compared to that Marcelo, this has a 56 instead of a 56.5 tt and features a notably smoother ride. I didn't notice any decrease in power transfer, but I probably don't put out enough watts for that to be an issue. Sometimes being weak has upsides! Anyway, Marcelos are amazing.

Gorgeous ride. I'd be all over it if I didn't already have one!
