Panaracer gravelking "slick" 26...

Anyone with any experience on how these set up on the new generation "wider" rims (i.e. HED Ardennes +) and how they ride in fast group settings.

I've had good luck with the gravelking 700x28 on a winter bike that occasionally does "go-fast" and travel duty but on the "A" bike considering a similar set up.

I've enjoyed the durability and versatility of this tire - wondering if anyone has run the 700x26 version and can attest to how these ride vs. more "road oriented" tires like Conti GP4k or GP5k.

Give the Panaracer Race Evo 4 series a look if you like the GK and want something racier.

Other tires are probably incrementally faster but I liked them enough to use them for the Davis Double In 2017. They rode well and didn’t hold me back any.

I was just contemplating the Race D Evo 4 for an all-around/trainer tire for road. Any experience with the Ds?

I've generally liked the Race A Evo 3s in the past. Evo4-series not yet been tested by Bicycle Rolling Resistance but would probably assume a similar approach to the Evo3-series of slightly thicker center tread.

I've used them on wider DT Swiss rims, they mounted up at around 27 mm. Certainly did not hold me back on group rides. Also used them on older narrower box section rims where they mounted up just a tad under 26mm, also did not seem to result in slower times than a Conti GP4KSII or Vittoria Graphene.

I switched from 700x28mm GP4000 S II to Gravelking 700x35mm slicks. I lowered my pressure by 10 psi and I am just as fast/slow but it is a little more comfortable

I've used/using the Race Evo Ds on one winter bike. They seem very durable and the ride is fine.

Race type D has been my go to tire for a long time. Almost flat proof and a nice ride.
