my guess about the seatpost is that is so they can remove it to insert batteries in the top tube. If they say where the batteries are, I missed it.

I also missed the zip tie. Would really like to know what's going on there

HAHA doesn't look like safety was a big concern.

Don't think I'd want to jump that poor thing.

Size and voltage of that motor makes the 250W claim pretty dubious, but who knows.
