For me it was a Peugeot that was the color of the one in this picture with the same decal scheme. Mine had fenders and a rear rack though along with a bottle generator and lights that almost worked. I bought it from another GI in the 80's while stationed in Germany. Rode it more than I drove my car it seemed like and toured all over the area in it. Even carried a whole stereo setup back to the barracks, to include Cerwin Vega speakers, piece by piece on the rack. Such good memories of the bike even though I'm not sure what model it was. The fork was chrome though, I do remember that.



I even used it to rehab my right knee the first time I tore the meniscus.

Bottecchia. Columbus TSX. Got it at Stuyvesant Bike Shop on 14th St in Manhattan. Here’s the frame hanging on the wall with some winter gear and an early Specialized helmet.
