you know, I'm gonna shoot em together and you tell me who should be jealous of who... or maybe they are a match made in heaven... Berty holds up to the Weigle just fine in my opinion, she is French after all, and who wouldn't date a french girl?

Exactly my size....

A not so subtle hint

I'd trade it for that Tomii, and I'd probably sell the Weigle first... but should i ever look to sell, you got first dibs.

Changed up the bars, the noodles just weren't doing it for me, i prefer the shorter reach and swoopy drops of these. Otherwise, shes gettin her miles in.

The Berthoud has been on the shelf for a bit while i tried to replace the weird Mavic press in BB with something more modern allowing me to run my favored Campagnolo 10s.

The update is finished for now. Mainly Record 10, debadged alloy compact crankset, Odom hubs laced to VO rims, Berthoud saddle, fenders, bar ends, nitto stem and noodle bars.

Rode a bit in the rain today, but need to change the saddle out before going anywhere in this rain.

im very pleased to have this modernized. the old drivetrain while very attractive was starting to wear, the parts are not easy to find, and it was heavy. this setup is lighter and more reliable, plus i can swap out any of my spare wheels or parts!

Great bike! Are those Odom hubs? Fancy.

So there was a threadless Mavic cartridge unit in there, but the frame has an English shell?

How about keeping a simple saddle cover in the front bag?

Yeah, Odom Hubs! smooooooooooooth

there was a mavic BB that threads to itself, the threads in the shell were who knows what, but we put an English tap in there and just re cut the bastard. Have to use outboard BB, square taper won't thread in all the way, otherwise it would have a rene herse crank with those odom hubs!

I have a saddle cover, but those don't work well when its this wet. water still goes under it and it can get deformed.
