The AXS crankset looks awesome.
Now you can also get the less circular saw force crank (but I much prefer the RED crank). The easton cranks are certainly not ugly, not even close... I would not call them the prettiest cranks, they are just 2 hunks of carbon fiber... I like them, I have a set but lets not think the design is anything special or out of the ordinary. Nice that companies are making chainrings for it, options are good. Now we need more cassettes for axs. |

No way am I putting AXS on classic steel either. Modern oversized steel withou cable stops, for sure.

It works. I'd say put it on whatever bike you want.

I do agree it looks badass on your Gaulzetti and would look good on modern bikes with big pipes. Lugged steel, even OS, not so sure, at least not classic design.

Force level CX1 carbon cranks not zoot enough? Tons of chain rings and replaceable spider out there.
I got 3 of them (GXP) with 110 spiders for $99.00 each NIB. One is on my Madone with 36/53 Oval Q-Rings, one on my Lynskey Gravel Mongrel with 28/42 MTB spider/rings, and a 38T Narrow Tall SS ring on a 110 spider on another bike... Only negative I feel is the porky GXP Botton bracket in a BSA threaded frame. On the Madone or other press fit, it just takes a 22mm bearing non drive side and it plenty lite in this cfg. dunno bout the 30mm spindle setup and can not comment there. |
