Thanks, all! I decided to go R3, and mechanical Record 12. I'll post up a pic once it's complete. Still deciding on wheels.

As promised

Here's a pic of the completed build. The bike rides like an absolute dream! I have a brake cable rattle downtube that needs to be addressed, and cut another CM off the fork. If anybody has advice on the brake cable rattle please let me know!

I'm also very impressed with Record 12 and the brakes are amazing! This is by far the best groupset I've owned.

Looks nice! I miss my old R3....

Brake cable rattle in the DT. If you have access to it try a few zip ties with the ends left on or a few small foam donuts to brace the rattle against the frame.

Thanks, for the zip tie tip! I'm going to try it! Hopefully with the extra left on the zip tie will act like a leaf spring. Makes perfect sense!

Small foam noodle/tube.

I used them in my Parlee Z5...the frame allowed easy access for internal cabling. I would insert them through the headtube and push the cable housing through.

Looking at your bike, you may be able to stuff some in that DT slot...you wouldn't need much and then thread the cable through. But i don't know how wide that opening is.
