Rear rack for Hampsten Strada Bianca ti?
Are there any standard issue rear racks I could use on a Hampsten Strada Bianca ti frame? It has fender eyelets on the rear hooded dropouts, but nothing for mounting to the seatstays. I figure I'd need to use mounting adapters that wrap around the stays. Just looking to have something to use with a pair of light panniers and a topmount square bag for some light touring.
Custom options, there's tubular steel, ti, and solid aluminum, maybe? Thanks for any ideas. |

salsa and others make seatpost clamps with integrated rack mounts that could allow you to use a regular rear rack with them and the mounts at the dropouts...

I really like my gen 1 Tailfin rack on my go faster bikes that don't have the eyelets. Adds versatility to my bikes. Pricey though. Guess it depends on how permanent you want the rack to be.

I just converted my graveller to commuter for the wet season last night. I used a cheapo version of the Salsa one Angrys shows and it works perfectly. Rack is secure and level. I carried panniers with my work laptop this AM - no catastrophes

Problem Solvers is one of the others that makes a seat post clamp with rack mounts. Looks super useful ...

If you go full on carbon fiber with all the add-ons it is definitely, but they also have more budget friendly aluminum versions (edit: budget friendly being relative, I just looked at their prices ) now. Last edited by donevwil; 09-23-2021 at 04:56 PM. |

Those are a good solution but don't you have to use proprietary bags with them? I see the gravel/Adventure crowd has been using them so must be a bit more flexible than the original one.

Those can be a great solution for the right size bike for sure.

Thanks for all the tips. Those Tubus seatstay clamps look good. Lots of Tubus racks are out of stock, unfortunately, but I'll check more closely.
