I may be forced to by my girlfriend. It's looking bad. I feel the flu coming on.

I literally just got home after taking my girls (8 and 10) to see it. They LOVE Taylor Swift.
I've seen the musical in London years ago so wasn't going in blind. I actually found the movie entertaining. I'm glad I didn't read any reviews before. |

The trailer looked awful. I don’t get these movies. If they told me, hey we are making this movie, I would save them the time and money and tell em, that is a terrible terrible idea

It's pretty much been ripped on since the first release of what the characters looked like. No desire to see it. I've lost parts of two fingernails from getting my digits too close to a spinning mtb brake rotor while working on them. Think I'd rather do it a third time than see that movie.

Saw the trailer last week and it gave me the heebee jeebees. Something about grown men in cat costumes. Very disturbing. No thanks.

I read or heard that all the 'cat' costumes were CGI, not actual costumes..my grandkids think it's freaky, won't go see it..

AFA "Superstar" and your history, I am in awe. Not the least of which because you met your wife on those boards! (Aside: I tried to sell Really Useful Productions on a book about JSC's 50th anniversary and the lasting impression it made. We went back and forth a couple of times before they said no thanks. What I would have given to interview Lloyd Webber and Rice, and to talk with originals like Ian Gillan and Ben Vereen!)

Saw it with my G/f at the time in a town down south in the patagonia. Nothing else to do so or was that or stay at home watching the flinstones. It was bad but well... at least i did not fall sleep like when i went to see "the bodyguard" and that thing was just unbearable, good i did not pay for it because my sister got two tickets for a preview presentation to the press. After 10 minutes i was snoring.
Even Lous ferrigno's Hercules was better than "the Bodyguard". |

I'm highly allergic to cats, so, on the advice of my immunologist, I won't go see it.

People are complaining about all the CGI but doesn't every superhero movie that grosses eleventy-billion dollars look pretty much the same?

Well, they are sending a new copy that has all the cgi corrected, the question since i havent seen the movie is... "extra super ultra CGI will fix the movie?"
So far i read all over the place that people is getting bored by it, not the cgi to blame here apparently. They have a solution tho... they market the movie as a friendly family movie with animals and all the girls that like cats will watch it, actually happened to one of the forumites. Went to watch the star wards movie yesterday morning and only little girls and moms were going into the cats room. Last edited by ultraman6970; 12-23-2019 at 12:44 PM. |

Some of the reviews are hilarious in their scorn about Cats. I just wish Clive James had lived long enough to do a review because that would have been a literary classic.
